As part of the refresh of their credit card portfolio, Chase and IHG introduced a new credit card for business use. It is exciting to see a business credit card launch given that the loyalty program has been improved.

I want to recap everything you need to know about the new business credit card since I know many people could be eligible for it.

IHG Premier Business Card basics

The premier business card is similar to the rewards premier credit card The card has a reasonable annual fee and strong perks. We will cover everything you need to know about the card.

IHG Business Card welcome bonus

After spending $3,000 in the first three months, you'll get a welcome bonus of 140,000 I hg points on the premier business card. I would value the bonus at $700 because I think it is excellent.

You can get the bonus on this card even if you don't have a personal I hg credit card. Chase's typical rules apply.

IHG Business Card annual fee

It's reasonable to charge a $100 annual fee for the I hg premier business card. Adding authorized users to the card is free.

IHG Business Card spending bonuses

A rewards structure for a co- branded travel credit card is pretty lucrative All of the cards have no foreign transaction fees.

• 10x points on IHG spending
• 5x points on travel and hotels
• 5x points on gas stations
• 5x points on dining
• 5x points on social media and search engine advertising, and office supply stores

There are a number of perks offered by the IHG premier business card.

• A free night certificate every anniversary year just for being a cardmember; this can be used at a property costing up to 40,000 points per night, though you can also use points to supplement the certificate and redeem at a more expensive property
• IHG Platinum Elite status for as long as you’re a cardmember, offering perks like room upgrades, 60% bonus points, priority late check-out, and more
• A fourth night free on award redemptions, which is a great way to stretch your points further
• Up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash each calendar year; you receive a $25 TravelBank Cash deposit roughly every six months
• A Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit once every four years

Is the IHG Premier Business Card worth it?

I will pick up the card myself. Since you can have both cards, I think this card is a good one.

If you already have the personal version of the card, you should pick up the business version so you can get an annual free night certificate. The card is worth keeping for one reason only. Since you can top-off these certificates with points, you can redeem for any Ihg property that is bookable with points.

If you have both the personal and business version of the card, then there is quite a bit of overlap, as both cards offer a fourth night free on award redemptions, and more.

Bottom line

A fantastic bonus of 140,000 points is on offer with the I hg premier business card. I think that the personal version of the card is very similar to the new product.

The anniversary free night award is the only thing worth keeping the card for. I could see it being worthwhile to spend money on this card since it is now competitive with other programs and the bonus categories are good.
