The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback said that he didn't think the current team had what it took to contend for a Super Bowl.

Owens called out his former teammate for being a jealous person and a bad teammate.

Tried to tell y’all that years ago but because everyone thought I was the bad guy and the media didn’t help the situation putting their spin on the untrue negative perception. I’ve never seen a more jealous person! 🤦🏾‍♂️ https://t.co/kmi79uMZJg

During his appearance on the Jon Marks & Ike Reese Show on Monday, McNabb was asked if the current Eagles were giving him 2004. He said, "Yes."

It's hard for us, being a part of that season and how special it was, and we felt like we needed one more piece to get over the hump. From what we've seen over the past three years or so, I think they were a bit more than one piece away.

The team is about a year or two away according to me. They have to play together. The core of players on this particular team are the Coxs. We were just one piece away from being to three NFC Championships and we were young. The team is trying to get a win in the playoffs.

I like what they're doing, they're going to keep growing. Pieces that weren't expected to step up are doing so. The run is exciting for me. I will enjoy the moment and watch the growth.

The team lost to New England in the Superbowl.

Some think that McNabb's comments were aimed at Hurts because Philadelphia has a strong offensive line and a defense that has played well.

Patrick and Joe were able to reach the Super Bowl despite being inexperienced.

Hurts has had a great season. In addition to rushing for 205 yards and four scores, the 24 year old has completed 66.7% of his passes for 1,120 yards and four scores for the Eagles.

The Eagles are playing like a Super Bowl contender and are the only team left in the league that hasn't lost a game.

Is he jealous of Hurts? It's worth asking because Hurts is arguably the best quarterback Philadelphia has had in a long time.

The feud between Owens and McNabb has been going on for 20 years. While McNabb doesn't have a Super Bowl ring, he did lead the Eagles to eight playoff appearances, five division titles and five championship games.

There is no reason for McNabb to be jealous of Hurts at the moment.
