Elon Musk stands in front of a Tesla semi truck in 2017.

One of the things that Musk does best is distract the public with a new statement.

On Thursday evening, Musk said that his company would deliver its long-promised semi trucks, an all-electric vehicle the company says can travel 500 miles on a single charge. The trucks were expected at two plants in California.

The fact that the Semi is behind schedule is no surprise because of Musk's habit of missing deadlines.

Excited to announce the start of production of the semi truck forPepsi on Dec 1st! Musk wrote that it was fun to drive and that it had a500 mile range.

Walmart, for example, had to fork over a deposit of between $5,000 and $20,000 for a Semi truck, which was one of the reasons why it was the first big company to reserve a Semi truck. The base model with a 300-mile range will cost $150,000, while the model with a 500-mile range will cost $185,000.

It is believed that the 500 mile range models were produced by the company this year. It is not known when the 300-mile range models will start shipping.

The company reserved 100 Semi trucks in order to reduce fuel costs and emissions.

You will get the truck in two years if you order it now.

The companies that took Musk's word would get their Semi trucks in 2019. That didn't come to pass. The Model 3 and Model Y were churned out instead of the Model 3.

Is it a good idea to accept Musk's word? It is similar to flipping a coin at this point. It is possible that he is trying to distract attention from his beef with the social networking site, or that he is trying to assure shareholders that all is well, given that the company's stock is down. About two hours after he said there was a plot twist, Musk said he was going to buy it. Over the last few months, shareholders of the company have become more nervous over the billionaire's drama with the social media site and fear that it will distract him from the company.

According to a statement the company gave to Gizmodo on Friday morning, it seems that he is correct.

The company said in an email that it will get the first electricTesla Semis on December 1, 2022. We will provide more information once we have taken delivery.

ThePepsiCo Positive journey is the company's plan to transform its operations for the good of the planet. The goal is to have net-zero emissions by the year 2040.

I think we know him well enough to say that we will believe it when we see the Semis at the company.
