Good Omens fans have been waiting for the second season for a long time. After months of "Wait and see" from both the streaming service and creator Neil Gaiman, we finally have a clip with a bit more information from the New York Comic Con panel.
Here is what we saw when io9 was at the panel earlier today. Aziraphale's shop is dressed as an old-timey policeman and a new angel shows up. She isn't very good at pretending. "I'm a human police officer." Aziraphale invited her in and gave her tea, but instead of drinking she decided to look at it. And then, there's a person showing up. He leans against Aziraphale's chair while sitting next to him. As the two disappear into a bedroom, the man protested that he was supposed to observe them. "Don't worry, we'll tell you what we talked about when we're done," Aziraphale said.
The panel, which included co-author and executive producer Gaiman, executive producer Mackinnon, director Wilkins, and actors Sepuvelda, and Sosanya, captured the mood when he said, "Because you loved season one, we got to."
The television adaptation of Good Omens is pretty faithful to the events of the novel, with the angel Aziraphale and the demonCrowley starring. The series was supposed to be a limited run, but there was a season two announcement that made the fans crazy. The second season poster was unveiled at NYCC. You should look at the wings. They're a great bunch of people. The Good Omens team is ready to go.
It will be available on Amazon Prime in the summer of 2023.
