Elon Musk says Trump's 'Truth Social' app is 'essentially a right-wing echo chamber': 'You might as well call it Trumpet'

In an interview with the Financial Times, Musk criticized Donald Trump's social media app.

It is a right-wing echo chamber. It could be called Trumpet.

The billionaire bought the site in order to prevent it from being a competitor to Truth Social.

I'm not doing it to make a living. I don't think I'm trying to buy a yacht that I can't afford. Musk does not own any boats. It's important that people have a maximally trusted and inclusive means of exchanging ideas.

Musk has said in the past that he would lift the ban on Trump and other users if he purchased the company. Even if he is allowed back on, Trump won't return to the social networking site. Following the siege on the Capitol, Trump was banned from the social media site.

The social media app is not as popular as it could be, with less than half a million active users.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Musk said that he doesn't hate Trump. Musk said he was not the right person for the job. Musk said in July that he shouldn't run for president again. Trump said he could have made Musk drop to his knees and begged when he was president.

Musk is not a fan of the president. In an interview, the CEO of the electric car company said he thinks Biden is too old to run for office again and that he is considering setting up a Super Moderate Super PAC to support more moderate politicians. The billionaire voiced his support for the governor.
