The first data center in Japan will be opened by the year 2023, according to the company. This data center will be located in Inzai City, Chiba, and is part of the $730 million infrastructure fund. The company has data centers in Taiwan and Singapore.

There are cloud regions in Tokyo and Osaka that can be used by local businesses. The company is building its own data center to cater to all of its own services, even though it is partnering with Equinix to power the regions.
The company will invest $730 million in local infrastructure over the next four years, according to a post by the company's CEO.
The Topaz project was announced earlier this year. The company's infrastructure investments in the country could lead to an additional $303 billion in GDP.
After announcing its first cloud region in Africa, this announcement came days later.
