ThePixel Watch is the first flagship Wearable from the company. While it has a clean circular design, the company is just now getting into a field that competitors have been successful in for years. Detailed impressions of the real-world performance and battery life of the Pixel Watch will have to wait for a full review.

The Pixel Watch’s design vs. the Apple Watch

Some aspects of design can be compared and contrasted objectively. The shape and controls of the Apple Watch and the Pixel Watch are different. Apple has a rotating crown, a button, and a touchscreen for controls, similar to what Google has.

Big watches can look like toys on larger arms, while small watches can look like toys on smaller arms. The small sizes of the Apple Watch Series 8, SE, andGalaxy Watch 5 are similar to the 41mm size of the Pixel Watch. Smaller models for a slight price increase are offered by both Apple and SAMSUNG.

The gold, black, and silver versions of the Pixel Watch are made out of STAINLESS STEEL. The Apple Watch Series 8 is available in both aluminum and stainless steel at a hefty price. The Watch 5 is built out of aluminum and titanium, while the Watch 5 Pro is built out of titanium.

How good is the Pixel Watch’s fitness tracking?

One of the main selling points of the Pixel Watch is its ability to be a fitness tracker. The Pixel Watch has the same number of sensors as the Apple Watch Series 8, but it also has an optical sensor for tracking heart rate, and can read blood oxygen levels. Sleep tracking is offered by all the watches. The ability to estimate metrics like body fat, mass, and water is one of the additional capabilities of the sensor.

Some fitness features are locked away behind a $9.99 a month Fitbit Premium subscription and six months of the service with the watch, which is worth mentioning. If you want to keep getting readiness scores, you will have to pay after that time period. Apple doesn't gate any data or analytics behind its subscription, so it doesn't understand the concept of readiness or rest days. You don't have to pay extra to get a sleep score or sleep coach.

Some level of automatic workout tracking for activities like walking and running is offered by the Pixel watch. Three months of YouTube Music are included.

What sorts of features does the Pixel Watch have versus Apple and Samsung?

The WearOS 3 operating system is the same as the one used for the Pixel Watch. It's worth noting that fall detection isn't coming until later this year, but all the watches we're comparing offer it. You can purchase a cellular version of each watch as well.

The always-on display of the Pixel Watch is similar to the higher-end Apple Watches.

We didn't include the Apple Watch Ultra because of its higher price point, but it isn't currently offered by the search engine giant. The Watch 5 Pro has features like a sapphire crystal covering the display, and the Apple Watches have a similar feature.

What phones can I use the Pixel Watch with?

The site says that the Pixel Watch is compatible with any phone that uses the same OS as theGalaxy Watch 5, but it's not clear if that's true. The Apple Watch won't work with phones other than the one it's compatible with.
