The long-time partnership between Adidas and West is in danger.
According to a statement provided to Forbes and other outlets, the company decided to place the partnership under review after trying to resolve the situation privately.
Adidas took a not so subtle dig at West, who has been mired in controversy recently and told off his other most notable corporate partner Gap last month, saying he wanted to end the partnership.
According to Forbes calculations, West will likely lose his billionaire status if he quits with the sportswear giant.
Without the partnership with Adidas, West's net worth would plummet to less than $1 billion, according to Forbes.
In his post, West wrote that he was an adidas dealer and that he had stopped working with the company.
The world's second-wealthiest man, Bernard Arnault, was accused of causing the death by West, who wore a "White Lives Matter" shirt at his fashion show in Paris. After West made controversial statements during his failed 2020 presidential bid, his wife Kim said he had to deal with the pressure and isolation that comes with his bi-polar disorder.
