Patrick Mahomes liked the job the Kansas City Chiefs coach did in his latest State Farm TV commercial, even though he probably doesn't have much of a future in acting.

I told State Farm to ask him first because I was scared. He asked me if I wanted him to do it after they asked him. I knew how much personality he had. The people don't see it. He did a great job after I got in and then I came in and started. I'm trying to keep my State Farm partnership because I think he stole the show.

In the commercial, a mustache is drawn on players with a pen while they sleep. The coach draws a mustache on him and complains, "It happened again."

"I'm going to get to the bottom of this," he replied.

It was a lot of fun. It was nice to see how Pat is treated. I was curious to see how it went. He does a lot of these things and it gave me an inside look at what he has to go through to put them together.

Great people are involved there. They reached out to me and made me feel comfortable, even though I wasn't comfortable doing those things.
