According to a bombshell new report from the Washington Post, federal investigators believe they have enough evidence to charge President Joe Biden's son with tax crimes.

The younger Biden was indicted by the FBI and IRS but it is up to the U.S. attorney in Delaware to decide if he will be charged.

Chris Clark, a lawyer for Hunter Biden, accused investigators of wrongdoing in a written statement.

It is a federal crime for a federal agent to leak information about a grand jury investigation. It appears that any agent you cite as a source in your article has committed a crime. The Department of Justice is expected to investigate and prosecute bad actors.

Both Hunter Biden and his father have been the subject of much criticism from the president's political rivals, who have accused both Bidens of corruption and the younger Biden of being the beneficiary of politically motivated double standards.

The New York Post reported that a laptop with incriminating evidence had been left at a repair shop. The report was panned by a lot of the press, but later proved to be accurate.

In April, the White House chief of staff spoke for the president and said he was confident that his son didn't break the law. The president-elect declared he was proud of his son when the federal investigation into Biden first became public.

The potential gun charge can be traced back to when Biden was using crack cocaine but still claimed that he was not on the federal form to purchase a handgun.

The weapon was hidden from the president's son by Hallie Biden because she was scared he would use it. Hunter called her a derogatory name.

Biden is being investigated for possible tax crimes related to business activities overseas, which have been heavily scrutinized by critics of the president.

David C. Weiss has sole authority to decide if the Department of Justice will charge Biden with a crime.
