'A Different World' Cast Reunites For Show's 35th Anniversary: 'The Band Got Back Together'

35 years after the premiere of A Different World, the cast takes social media by storm.

On October 1, former A Different World cast member and animation legend Cree Summer took to social media to post a photo of her and her fellow cast members.

“The Band Got Back Together,” she said in her caption. “35 Years Going Strong.”

The photo was posted days after the cast came back together for a discussion at the library.

Summer’s Instagram post received replies from fellow actresses Vanessa Williams and Rachel True.

The responses were related to how youthful Dawnn Lewis, who played Jaleesa, looked.

One reply said that Jaleel didn't age at all.

A Different World chronicled the lives of college students who attend a historically Black college.
