Musk and Graham are at odds on whether or not Russia should be allowed to annex Ukrainian territory.

Graham suggested that Musk needs to understand the facts of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

After Musk shared his idea for peacefully resolving the conflict on Tuesday, Graham posted. Sharing a poll that appeared to parrot Kremlin talking points on Russia's invasion, Musk called for his followers to vote on whether his list of conditions would work.

The senator from South Carolina objected to Musk's position and said it was dumb. It's an insult to the bravery of the Ukrainians.

Graham said that Musk's plan would cause more chaos in the world because it would be similar to capitulating to Putin.

Musk wrote that if the senator believed that the will of the people mattered, then those who live in Ukraine should be allowed to choose their country.

Musk shared an electoral map from 2012 that showed a political split in the east of the country.

In response to Musk, a journalist pointed out that the 2012 electoral map pre-dated aggressive actions by Russia.

Musk got a lot of backlash for posting the poll.

"Fuck off is my very diplomatic reply to you," Andrij Melnyk wrote on Tuesday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked people if they liked Musk who supported Russia or Musk who supported Ukraine more.

Musk insisted on Tuesday that he is pro-Ukraine and that his company has spent millions of dollars to keep the internet going in the country.
