  • Russia has been complaining about the Western countries' support of Ukraine.

  • The West could be dragged into conflict by this.

  • The Ukrainians have claimed a huge haul of abandoned Russian weaponry.

Billions of dollars in weapons and other aid from the US, as well as military assistance from a number of Western countries, have been given to the Ukrainians during the seven-month war with Russia. The enemy is giving a lot of weapons to the Ukrainians.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and other top Russian government officials have been complaining about the West for years. They warned that the conflict could expand and made little attempt to hide their anger.

Russian troops have left behind a mountain of weapons and equipment as Ukrainian forces continue their counteroffensive.

According to a new Wall Street Journal report citing open-source intelligence, the recent capture of all this Russian weaponry by the Ukrainians has turned Russia into the largest supplier of weaponry in the country.

The report said that this observation is based on quantities and not the quality of the weapons. Tanks and other armor are among the weapons left behind.

Russian troops left a lot of weaponry and equipment behind during the first few days of the Ukrainian offensive. Some Russians left their positions in a hurry and stole bikes to get away.

Western countries continue to supply Ukrainian troops even though they have obtained what they need from fleeing Russian units.

As early as January, before Putin's invasion of Ukraine, the Russian leader demanded that the US and its allies stop providing aid to the country. Russia warned of consequences if the US continued to deliver weapons to Ukraine. If the west armed the eastern European country with long-range weapons, Putin would attack new targets.

Maria Zakharova said last month that the US would cross a red line if it sent missiles to Ukraine. After the Biden administration announced a new $625 million military aid package for Kyiv, two Russian diplomats said the move could lead to a direct war with the West.

The heads of state and top Western officials have not shown any sign that they will back off their weapons deliveries.

"The United States will continue to provide the weapons and equipment to meet its urgent needs on the battlefield, while also building Ukraine's enduring strength to defend its sovereignty over the long term," Laura Cooper, deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, said at a news conference
