What's behind Liverpool's stuttering start? (1:37)

Fans will be watching to see what kind of season their team will have. There is still time for struggling clubs to recover and for successful ones to go away. How concerned should you be? A mark of 10 means that there is no reason for concern, and a mark of 1 means that there is nothing to worry about.

The team is 11 points off the lead and out of title contention. There has been a lack of old intensity, with even major players looking shadows of their usual self. You would think a squad with so much quality has to bounce back soon, but there is a suspicion that last season's close calls have left a few players a little burnt out. They have a fight on their hands to make the top four.

It was a bad day for the local rivals as they were trounced by a4-0. It's hard to get the blend and harmony right. Forest was promoted thanks to the efforts of manager Steve Cooper. He might be fired five months after promotion, but don't rule it out. The party has turned sour so quickly that it's sad.

The Saints have lost 14 of their last 20 games in the premier league. They don't have a reliable goal scorer and haven't kept a clean sheet in awhile. James Ward-Prowse's leadership and quality will be important, but too many others seem to leave a flaky team.

Bruno Lage was sacked by the Wolves after they failed to score in five of their eight games. Diego Costa might be able to lead a recovery. It doesn't look like it would be a good idea to sell Coady toEverton.

The weekend hammering in the derby against Manchester City was a reminder of how much work ten Hag still has on his hands. The first half was very surrender-like. Casemiro was left on the bench by United after they spent £70m on him. It was odd that Ten Hag admitted that he didn't come on against City because he didn't want to disrespect his big career. The concern is that United will have a hard time making the top four.

The win over Forest was out of intensive care. Brendan Rodgers no longer has to deal with the heat. Soft defending in other games is still worrying. Now that 35-year-old Jamie Vardy can't provide the goals, the Foxes need to pass a lot of tests before they can say they have turned a corner.

Despite a first league win for Graham Potter at Crystal Palace, there is still a feeling that Chelsea are in a state of change. The change of ownership has caused a few shockwaves behind the scenes and that has been reflected in some erratic results on the pitch. It's possible that Potter's lack of ego and coaching talent is what the club needs.

Hislop gave his thoughts on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first goal for the Blues and the late goal by Conor Gallagher.

Even though it was Villa's first away point, the fact that they were held to a draw by a 10-man team heaped more frustration on the manager. Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins have both scored one league goal each. There is no fear yet. Is it just impatience?

Jesse Marsch kept the team up last season and has made a good start this season. They played with 10 men and battled to a draw with Villa. It was only a matter of time before a debut season in the premier league took a toll on the likes of Tyler Adams and others.

Gary O'Neil has made his case for a permanent appointment with a four-game winning streak. There is still concern that they don't have enough quality to stay out of the bottom three.

The Hammers lost 5 of their first 7 games and looked off the pace in most of them. They won their second game of the season against Wolves on Saturday. After his stellar season last time, Jarrod Bowen has taken time to get going, and David Moyes has had to put in new signings. Is it possible for them to qualify for Europe again after such a slow start?

The revolution under their new Saudi owners will take a season or two after they won their first game of the season. Money is not something to worry about. If anything less than a European place next season looks like failure, that's because of the increased expectations. There is a lot of anxiety about keeping Wilson in shape.

Despite a poor showing in the North London derby, this has been a good start for Spurs with 17 points. The 3-4-3 system is producing a team with a lot of substance, but it may not be enough for the "glory, glory" fans on the High Road. They haven't got an X factor yet.

Crystal Palace have a lot of good players and an impressive manager, so there will be some worry after only one win so far. Palace have enough steel and silk for another mid table finish.

The new manager of the club, Roberto de Zerbi, is the perfect fit for the club according to the two men.

Many of the concerns at Goodison have been alleviated by a six-game winning streak. Alex Iwobi has excelled in a new role at the club and Anthony Gordon has stayed at the club. They want to score enough goals to make a difference.

After both previous promotions, the team have been demoted, but this time they look a more dynamic, resilient outfit and, after misfiring in earlier top-flight campaigns, are once again leading the way. One of those days, they played 81 minutes with ten men and only had one goal to show for it, as they lost the game by a single goal.

They may have shot up the worry index after losing Graham Potter. Roberto De Zerbi was the new boss and he got off to a great start. The Seagulls may continue to thrive if he is smart enough not to tinker too much.

After a very respectable 13th place finish in the top flight last season, Thomas Frank's vibrant team are again more than holding their own. Ivan Toney's England call-up has lifted the mood after they've been beaten by only two teams.

Gabriel Jesus looked like the signing of the season as he turned on the style. These are exciting times for fans of the club. Their only concern is if this team can keep up the pace.

Maybe the odd glance at what his old assistant Mikel Arteta is doing at Arsenal will cloud the judgement of Manchester City's manager. It will be a surprise if they don't win five titles in six years. The mid-winter World Cup will take a toll on the players, but they look like a class apart.
