An animal rights activist who rushed the Levi's Stadium field during the Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers game on Monday has filed a police report after he was tackled by Rams players.

The news was reported by the sports website.

Direct Action Everywhere was responsible for the on-field rush. The police report stems from an assault on the field, according to a representative for the organization.

He stated that he took the activist down because of safety reasons.

"That's not trying to make a play," he said.

Keeping it safe is what it is. You have no idea what that fan is doing. We don't know what they are carrying in their pockets because you see it all the time. That little smoke stuff could be dangerous.

I took it out on him because he looked like he got hurt and security looked like he was struggling.

Just before halftime of the 49ers' game, there was an incident. A second protestor tried to take the field, but she was stopped by security before she could.
