According to a new report, Donald Trump's rhetoric on social media has gotten louder than ever.
The former president's personal conservative social media platform, Truth Social, has been banned from both social media sites. In January 2023, Meta will make a decision on whether or not the former president should be allowed to post again on Facebook. Media Matters is a progressive organization that tracks right-wing extremists.
The president and CEO of Media Matters For America said that if Trump was doing these things on Facebook, he'd be reprimanded.
According to the media watchdog's report on Trump's activity on Truth Social, the behavior is detailed. In a few months, social media giant Meta says it will decide whether to end Trump's suspension and the company has specifically said it would look at Trump's activity elsewhere.
In an email response, a Meta spokesman referred to Facebook's original statement in June of 2016 when it was decided that Trump would be suspended for two years.
Media Matters used data from Trump's own rhetoric to argue that he should not be allowed on the platform.
The former president's most egregious Truth Social posts are related to the far right conspiracy theory. It was banned from its platform in 2020. The followers of Qanon believe that Donald Trump is still the President of the United States and that he is secretly fighting a war against a global group of child traffickers. Since Trump's election loss, Qanon rhetoric has become more extreme.
"When Trump was on Facebook, it wasn't a big deal," said Carusone. He got involved in it in 2020. There was a couple of degrees taken out of it. It was related to the word Qanon. He is fully embracing it.
Media Matters is not the only one saying this. A recent embrace of Qanon by the former president has been noticed by other extremists. There's no hiding the data. Trump has posted or shared content from people in the community. According to the report, Trump hasamplified at least 61 QAnon accounts more than 130 times.
Since May, Trump has only been on Truth social.

According to the report, Trump has continued to spread false information about the election. According to Media Matters, Trump has mentioned the election at least 58 times.
Trump wrote that the election was rigged.
Trump's recent post about McConnell, a member of his own party, was an example of his violent rhetoric.
Trump accused McConnell of working with Democrats and said he had a death wish. The company's own words should factor into the decision.
"If there's a chance that this stuff could lead to something in the real world, that's what we're going to factor into our analysis as to whether or not the threat has gone away," he said. The threat has not gone away.
The suspension of Trump on Facebook was due to his posts about the Capitol riots.
Meta's independent Oversight Board upheld Trump's suspension but told the company to either ban him completely or give a time frame for the suspension. There is a chance that Trump could return to the platform as early as January of 2020.
Roughly a quarter of Trump's posts from 2020 to 2021 broke various platform policies regarding misinformation about COVID-19 and the election, according to a previous Media Matters report.
If Meta restores Trump's account early next year, the former president and his team will be able to once again post to his 34 million Facebook followers.
He said that they would appeal to the Oversight Board if they restored his account. I don't see anything else. If they don't look at the totality of circumstances, the only recourse is to go back to the Board and say that they didn't apply the policy.
