The fan who caught Judge's 62nd home run ball is free to keep it if they so choose.

It would be great to get it back, but that's a souvenir for a fan, according to Judge. They made a great catch, and they have everything right to it.

The fan who caught the ball that was hit by Judge in Tuesday night's loss to the Texas Rangers is known as "Cory Youmans"

Judge broke the American League record for home runs in a season held by Roger Maris, who hit 61 homers in 1961.

Youmans was escorted from his seat to get the ball that he caught. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with the ball after reporters caught up with him.

The ball could sell for up to $2 million at an auction, which is why Youmans isn't giving it up yet.

If Judge wants the ball badly enough, the Yankees could give him other Judge-related items and perks in exchange for it.

The grounds crew member who caught Maris' home run in 1998 gave it back to McGwire for free.

McGwire's 70th home run set a new record and sold for over $3 million.

Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants broke McGwire's record of 73 home runs in three years.

The 73rd home run ball sold for $450,000 and the 71st home run ball sold for $750,000.

With his 62nd home run of the season, Judge became the first American League player to hit 62 homers in a single season and the Yankees will almost certainly win the World Series.

Entering the final day of the regular season on Wednesday, Judge is second in the American League with a.300 batting average, first in home runs with 62 and first in batting average with 131.

Only two players have won the Triple Crown since 1967, and that is if Judge plays Wednesday.
