We did an initial impressions and hands-on video when Apple released the second-generation AirPods Pro, but we wanted to do a more in-depth review after spending some time with the earbuds.

Dan Barbera, a video editor at MacRumors, has been using the second generation of the AirPods for 10 days. There is a clear difference in sound quality when active noise cancellation is used.

The on-device controls are nice to have for adjusting volume, but it's hard to tell the difference between the old transparency mode and the new adaptive transparency that is supposed to quiet down loud noises.

The built-in speaker that plays sounds for charging and Find My is useful, as well as being able to use the Apple Watch charging port to charge the AirPods. The lanyard loop isn't very useful, especially without Apple-designed lanyards, and there's still no way to change it.

If you own the original AirPods Pro and have been having issues with battery life or any other aspect, the AirPods Pro 2 are worth the price. Let us know what you think of the AirPods Pro 2 in the comments below, because Dan's full thoughts are in the video up above.
