Some of Apple's headphones will be made in India as early as next year according to a report.

The company is trying to reduce the risk of supply chain disruptions in China due to Covid lockdowns and increased U.S.-China trade tensions. In August, it was reported that Apple was considering moving some of its products to Vietnam, and in September it was announced that it would be assembling some of its flagship phones in India.

Most of the iPhone production takes place in China.

According to the report, one of Apple's manufacturing partners will make the headphones in India and try to make the headphones in the future. The production of Apple's AirPods in India will be aided by the assistance of the Luxshare Precision Industry.

Apple is looking to increase sales in India. Apple shifted production to India in order to increase sales, but it is now treating the country as a strategic production base, according to the report.
