Kadeena Cox said living with hidden disabilities can feel like fighting a losing battle.

A new study shows that people with less visible conditions are more likely to have negative attitudes.

Cox has a neurological condition called multiplesclerosis.

People accuse her of faking her disability.

Cox said that he gets people saying that he shouldn't be parking in blue badges.

People don't want to give up their priority seats on the train or bus for me.

I get people on social media saying that Kadeena Cox can't be disabled and that you are faking it and taking money from the DWP.

People are making comments and passing judgement.

Cox spoke after new research by Bupa and Scope into the experiences of people with disabilities.

A survey of disabled people.

  • About 70% of people were challenged on whether they are disabled or the nature of their disability while travelling, shopping or at an event
  • 76% have experienced insensitive comments about their disability
  • 68% have been told "you don't look disabled"

Cox retained her C4-5 500m time trial title after setting a world-record in Tokyo.

"On social media I'm always dancing around, I'll be getting in and out of my wheelchair, doing wheelchair dances just to showcase not illnesses are what you think," she said.

The brain fog, the bladder issues, the pain, the sensory issues, and the lack of sensation in my feet are all things that I post in videos.

Cox was diagnosed with Multiplesclerosis after she had a stroke.

She said that she struggles with an eating disorder that she has spoken about. Sometimes, it makes you wonder about your life.

My mental health is struggling because people are commenting on my disability and you just feel like you're fighting a losing battle."

There are some days when I'm not sure what I'm fighting for. I'm fighting for all the people that are in this situation and feel like there's nothing to fight for.
