Harry Kane
Harry Kane is yet to score in this season's Champions League

Spurs missed a number of chances as they were held to a goalless draw.

In the first half, Harry Kane was close to turning in a Son Heung-min cross, but his shot went wide of the far post.

Hugo Lloris needed to make a smart save to deny Ansgar Knauff's volley from a good position.

Neither side seemed willing to go for the win in the late stages of the game.

After three games, Spurs are in second place in Group D with four points, two behind leaders Sporting Lisbon.

In third place on goal difference, Eintracht Frankfurt are tied with Spurs.

A useful point, but could have been more

Spurs fans will want a response from their side in Germany after they lost their last two games in Europe.

Initially, it was the spirited hosts who were the ones who started strong.

At times, they had their opponents pegged back in their own half, but as the game wore on, they took control, showing more urgency along with improved passing.

Kane was unable to make the most of his two good opportunities in the first half, but the link up between Kane and Son was encouraging.

Spurs struggled to build on that in the second half, but with back-to-back home games in the group stage, this should be seen as a positive point.
