One of the richest people in the word, Bernard Arnault, was accused by West of killing his best friend.

West claimed that Arnault killed his best friend in a post that included a picture of a statue of a Roman poet.

West claimed after the event Arnault previously put forward, and then took back, an offer to help him launch his own fashion house.

Vogue and the Times reported that West referred to Arnault as his new Drake during his presentation of the fashion show.

Arnault wasn't present for the show, but his son was, and he was the chief marketing officer of Tiffany and Co.

Forbes contacted the company for comment.

West said in his post that he meant to say war.

It is not clear if West was referring to Arnault or the fashion editor who critiqued his clothing. West posted photos of the editor, used their name and shared a screen shot of their account on social media. Members of the fashion community rushed to the editor's defense, including a model who called West a joke. As if the honor of being invited to your show should keep someone from giving their opinion.

Forbes Valuation

That's a total of $150.3 billion. The estimated net worth of Arnault and his family makes him the second richest person on the planet. If he cuts ties with Adidas, West's net worth could go down significantly.

Key Background

There was a close relationship between West and Abloh. Arnault said that Abloh was a genius designer, a visionary, and a man with a beautiful soul. West has made outrageous claims in public. Pete Davidson was frequently attacked by his ex- wife KimKardashian's "Jesus Walks" rapper. He was banned from the platform for using a racial epithet. Those close to West understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions, and that living with bi-polar disorder doesn't diminish or invalidate his dreams. A few weeks ago, West walked in the luxury brand's fashion show. Even though he signed a 10 year contract with the company, Gvasalia left West's collaboration with the Gap last month.

He says that he will leave the Adidas and Gap partnerships once his contract ends.
