It shows Velma meeting a costume designer and falling in love. You can see Velma blush as she sees Coco with her glasses covering her face. Velma is shown admiring other characteristics of Cocos beyond her looks. Velma has been depicted as straight in the past, with a new version of the show showing her as being in a relationship with Shaggy, although it has been suggested that he was just a beard for her. The gay and lesbian community are applauding the explicit depiction and the on-screen representation. In one scene where they show a little affection and flirting, Coco seems to be into Velma, calling her cute. It's been said that Velma is lesbian by some of the people who've worked on 'Scooby' projects.
