One of the most popular streaming services is now available on a gaming console. Disney+ can now be watched on the PS4. It's the same for Star+ in Latin America.

That is pretty much all that is left. You will be able to watch all the movies and TV shows on your PS5 in 4K and in high dynamic range. The new tier of Disney+ will have some advertising, but it will be cheaper than the previous tier.

According to a press release, Disney is excited to enhance both Disney+ and Star+ for PS5 users. It will improve the viewing experience for fans if the platform supports 4K.

All things PS5

The lack of supported hardware for Disney+ is a noticeable hole in modern streaming hardware. The two biggest streaming platforms are taken care of by the two other companies. It can be found on various smart TV systems, as well as on various gaming consoles.

Disney+ has 152.1 million subscribers as of July 2, 2022, with 44.5 million of them in the US and Canada.

The advertising-supported tier is going to be added to the Disney+ subscription model later this year. The old model will cost $8 a month, while the new option will cost $11 a month, or $110 annually. You can get Disney+ for $10 a month, the Disney bundle with ads for $13 a month, or the bundle without ads for $20 a month.

There are new options going live on December 8.

Those who have a legacy version of the Disney bundle will be able to keep their monthly subscription.
