The Dallas Cowboys quarterback needs more time to recover from his injury.

Jerry Jones said on the show that he can't hold a football.

Jones wasn't well enough to play.

Some positives were found in the latest update.

Jones said that he knows that he's going to make progress towards being able to grip the ball.

During the first game of the season, he broke a bone in his hand and had to have surgery. In four games, Cooper Rush has a 60.8 percent completion rate and four touchdown passes.

He appeared in all 16 games in each of the first four seasons of his career, but has struggled with injuries in the last three years.

He appeared in just five games in 2020 before breaking his ankle and missing the rest of the season. He played in 16 of 17 games in the 2021.

One of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League is healthy. In 16 games, he completed 68.8% of his passes for 4,450 yards and 37 touchdown against 10 turnovers.
