Shimron Hetmyer of West Indies plays a shot as Kusal Perera of Sri Lanka looks on
Hetmyer has played 50 T20s for West Indies since 2018

Hetmyer missed a flight to Australia that was supposed to take him to the Men's T20 World Cup.

The first of two T20 warm-ups against Australia on Wednesday will be missed by Hetmyer because his flight was moved from Saturday to Monday.

The 25-year-old is no longer with us.

The CWI had no choice but to replace him.

Jimmy Adams, the CWI's director of cricket, said that if there were any further delays and issues with his travel to Australia, they would have no choice but to change his flight.

We are not going to jeopardize the team's ability to prepare for the event.

The West Indies will play Scotland in the first round of the T20 World Cup in October.

Two warm-up games against Australia will be part of the preparations for the tournament.

Adams said thatBrooks would fly out as soon as possible to join the squad.
