The vice president of New York City's Transport Union slammed the city's bail reform on national television after a repeat offenders attack on a subway employee.
Kelley criticized the city's bail reform during his appearance on " Fox & Friends First" on Monday, more than a month after Alexander Wright was accused of attacking an off-duty subway worker.
This can't continue. The bail reform needs to be altered. Kelley said that the guy shouldn't have been free under the new bail reform.
"After 40 beatings, you would think they'd lock him up and throw away the key," he said.

Nelson was punched in the face by Wright as he walked away from the scene. An employee of the subway was injured in an attack.
He and another man held Wright down despite his injuries. Wright was accused of attacking and harassing someone. He was arrested last week and is currently being held at Rikers Island.

Kelley said that the MTA employees have a more dangerous job than the NYPD. The NYPD have weapons to protect themselves.
