Gabriel was crowned at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino by Miss USA 2021.
She will represent the US at the Miss Universe contest in New Orleans.
It is the first year that Texas will be represented by Asian American women in the Miss USA and Miss America pageants.
Gabriel talked about climate change during the Miss USA question and answer round. She believes that individuals can make a difference through their careers and lifestyles.
She said that she is a fashion designer. I feel it's my duty to recycle and upcycle pieces in order to be more sustainable. I think it's possible for all of us to look for ways to be more sustainable.
On Sunday night, Gabriel appeared on the Miss USA stage.
She wore a handcrafted ensemble. The flower-covered leotard had a full skirt attached at the back and was covered in crystal.
There were more than 5,000 stones and blue fabrics in the outfit. It was designed to mirror the movement of bluebonnet flowers in Texas.
Gabriel graduated with a degree in fashion design. She is a designer and a model.
Her hobbies include thrift shopping and yoga.
