Saucy Santana is one of this year's biggest rap sensations. The 28-year-old rapper has established himself as a rising star through his online antics. He went on to collaborate with Madonna on a song called "Material Girl" this summer and is carving out his own niche.
Santana is a rarity in the hip hop world. He tells Time that some people look at gay as if it's something they'resupposed to be. It is so many different kinds of gay. Being gay is so different. He became one of the faces of Coach's annual PRIDE campaign and landed on the covers of Teen Vogue and PAPER magazine.
He says he is proud to be known as a future icon or future legend. I want to open a door for my community. With the release of his latest single "I'm Too Much" and performances at the BET and Video Music Awards earlier this year, Saucy Santana has no intentions of slowing down. The rap star is currently on tour with Lizzo and is expected to release more music later this year.
In the video above, the rapper and Internet sensation speaks with Time about his music and his popularity.
