The Daily Beast reported on Monday that Herschel Walker paid for a woman to get an abortion more than a decade ago.

The woman told the outlet that Walker encouraged her to get an abortion when she was pregnant with him. She wasn't named to keep her private life out of the public eye.

Walker called the report a "flat-out lie" and said he was going to file a lawsuit against The Daily Beast.

The woman shared a receipt from an abortion clinic, as well as a "get well card" from Walker, and an image of a $700 check, according to Roger Sollenberger.

A friend of the woman said that she took care of her after the procedure.

Walker's campaign didn't reply immediately.

There should be no exceptions for abortion according to the Senate candidate.

Walker told reporters that there was no exception in his mind. I think in life. I believe in the existence of the universe.

The Republican senate candidate supports a 15-week abortion ban.

Walker made conflicting statements about his kids. He claimed to be the father of only one child before it was revealed that he had three more children. The story was reported by The Dailybeast. The candidate denied denying any of his children and didn't want them to get involved in politics.

Walker, a former football player, is running against an incumbent senator.
