Two new transborder routes will deepen Air Canada's relationship with United Airlines.
Two of United's hub airports, George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), are served by the routes, as well as the one to Houston.

This June was the first time in the Pandemic Era that United operated theVancouver-Houston route. According to the schedule data from the company, it runs through this month and will resume in March.
Air Canada will have a daily flight with an A220-300.
Flight AC1300 leaves YVR at 9:00 a.m. and arrives at Iah at 3:08 p.m. The return flight leaves IAH at 4:30 pm and arrives at YVR at 7:30 pm. Air Canada and United both have connections in Houston.
The United route from Halifax to Newark has not been on the carrier's schedule since the beginning of the Pandemic.
Air Canada will use an all-economy class Air Canada Express Q 400 turboprop on the route.
Flight AC8670 leaves Halifax at 11:45 a.m. and arrives in Newark at 1:04 p.m. The return flight will leave Newark at 1:45p.m. It's a good time to connect to United in EWR.

Air Canada didn't operate this route in the past.

Air Canada and United have expanded their partnership with more code shares.
There will be more routes like this in the future. The joint venture is subject to government approval. The two Star Alliance carriers will be able to coordinate on schedules, pricing and plan to harmonize some onboard offerings.
Canada recently removed its remaining travel restrictions and Air Canada has grown their transborder networks. Air Canada's U.S. network is larger now than it was last year.
