Jamie Collins has shown that players can return to their homes. Again. Again. Again.

Collins will return to the New England Pats, according to his agent. It will be Collins' fourth stint with the team, where he began his career as a second-round draft choice.

As they look to address their run defense that has allowed 325 yards over the past six quarters in losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Green Bay Packers, the Pats have two options: active roster or practice squad.

Collins had visited with the Pats. According to sources, the club informed Langi that he was being released as a result of the trickle down effect of his arrival.

Collins has played in 122 regular-season games and has appeared in 104. In the playoffs, he has played in nine games and won a Super Bowl with the New England.

Through the first four games of the 2020 season, captain Ja'Whaun Bentley has been joined by Raekwon McMillan, Mack Wilson Jr., and other players.

Collins' ability to play both inside and edge has been appreciated by the New England coaching staff.

The Detroit Lions, one of Collins' other teams, will be playing the New England patriots on Sunday.
