It is possible for staff to choose which uniform to wear.

The crew, pilots and ground staff of Virgin Atlantic can wear any of its uniforms they want, regardless of the original design.

In a policy change that is part of a wider relaxing of the airline's uniform rules, staff are encouraged to choose which outfit they want to represent them.

The updated gender identity policy is important to me. It makes it possible for me to be myself at work and have the choice in what uniform I wear.

Women were required to wear red and men were required to wear burgundy.

Time off work for medical treatments related to gender transition is included in the airline's trans inclusion policies.

Workers will be able to include pronouns on their name badges.

Virgin Atlantic believes that everyone can take on the world, no matter who they are. It is important that we allow our people to be who they are at work.

For that reason, we want to allow our people to wear uniforms that best suits them and how they identify and ensure our customers are addressed by their preferred pronouns.

The campaign was announced by the judge of the show.

As the mother of a non-binary child, and as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, these efforts by Virgin Atlantic to further inclusivity for its people are very important to me.

The gender identity policy allows people to embrace who they are and bring their full selves to work.
