The fall hardware event is going to be special. The official debut of the Pixel 7 will be followed by the launch of the company's first self- branded watch. What will those devices do? Will there be any surprises outside of that? We are here to tell you what to expect when the broadcast begins.

Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

The meat of the presentation is likely to be about the new phones from the company. An official preview at this spring's I/O conference revealed that they'll mostly work on thePixel 6 line. A familiar design with a seamless aluminum frame extends to the camera bar. Improved performance for media, speech recognition and other tasks will be possible with a new chip. They'll run an operating system. The base model will have two cameras similar to the regular one, while the Pro adds a third.

What kind of improvements will you see? It appears to be subtle ones. The standard Pixel 7 will have 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage, similar to its predecessor, according to leaked prototypes. The Tensor G2 isn't a dramatic leap forward, with slight improvements to graphics, power efficiency and clock speeds, according to a number of pre-release scoops. The developer claims the cameras will not change. This year's phone may be worth the investment if you're coming from a Pixel 5 or earlier.

What doesn't change is the price. According to Artem Russakovskii, the phones will be the same price as last year's phones. If the report is true, they will represent significant value for money at a time when many device prices are increasing.

It's not certain when the range will be available to customers. Pre-orders for the phone will begin on the day of the event. You may only have to wait a couple of weeks before you can get your hands on the hardware, according to WinFuture.

Pixel Watch

Google Pixel Watch

The highlight for a lot of people will be the Pixel watch. It will serve as a showcase for Wear OS 3. Fit, sleep and general health tracking will be included in the integration. The company is taking design cues from the Apple Watch with an upscale-looking case, a prominent crown and easily swapped (if proprietary) bands, but it's using a circular display.

There is a prototype left in a restaurant that may be related to the Charge 5. We wouldn't be surprised to see tap-to-payFunctionality. According to sources, the Pixel Watch might use a stock Exynos chip instead of a custom part, but it might pack a large amount of storage, as well as a coprocessor that keeps the battery life in tact. The introduction of the next-generation Assistant on Wear OS watches is mentioned in the code, but it is not known how it will change.

Pre-orders for the phone should begin on October 6th. It's not known if the hardware will ship at the same time as the Pixel 7, but an established leaker warned of a limited release. It is possible that you will have to pay a premium as well. The $350 starting price was mentioned in a 9to5google price leak. The $299 Apple Watch Series 8 is not far behind the $280 price tag. The price of the Pixel may be similar to that of the Apple Watch.

Wildcards: More Pixel device previews and Nest hardware

Google Pixel Tablet preview at I/O 2022

Rumors of more hardware at the event have not been substantiated. We wouldn't dismiss it out. It is no longer out of the question that you will see a tease for more products after seeing the preview of the Pixel Tablet. What exactly? There are murmurs of a foldable phone that could get an early look. There is no proof that either product will make a appearance.

We wouldn't count on more of them. There are only a few things that can be done to upgrade some of the offerings, such as the audio-only Nest Mini. Some of the lineup has not been touched for a couple of years. The company may have an incentive to keep up with the latest technology.

They are most likely to involve features related to artificial intelligence. At last year's event, there were on-screen call center menus and as-you-type translations for the first time. Even if some of the extras aren't required in the future, it wouldn't be a surprise to see a repeat. The sequel could get the same treatment as the first one because of the use of artificial intelligence.
