The Swedish navy said Monday that it has sent a vessel capable of advanced diving missions to the Baltic Sea area where a gas leak occurred.

The United States and its allies deny that they sabotaged the Russia-built natural gas pipes under the Baltic Sea to Germany.

Several hundred pounds of explosives were involved in last week's blasts off southern Sweden and the Danes that caused huge methane leaks. International waters were the location of the leaks.

The Swedish navy spokesman told The Associated Press that a submarine rescue ship had been sent to the location of the leaks off Sweden to support the Swedish coast guard.

It was not clear when someone would be able to go down.

One of the coast guard's vessels, Amfritrite, was on site to monitor sea traffic. Bad weather will make the conditions on site difficult.

The authorities inDenmark said that the natural gas pipes had stopped leaking.

The Swedish Security Services and the Swedish prosecuting authority are leading the investigation.

The investigation is being carried out in close cooperation with the relevant authorities.

A joint international investigation team consisting of relevant authorities from several countries should be established.

At an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council in New York, Russia and the U.S. clashed over the attacks on the oil and gas infrastructure.

That's right.
