The Jets ran a trick as Berrios threw the ball to Wilson. There is a time and a place.

7:40 PM ET

Wilson's season debut included a historic touchdown catch, a two quarter slump, and the biggest fourth quarter comeback of his young career.

"That was an ugly win, but that was some of the most enjoyable I have had playing football," Wilson said after the game.

There was a lot of action in the game.

The Jets led by 10 points in the first quarter and trailed by 10 in the fourth, but Wilson came back with 81- and 65-yard touchdown drives on their final two possessions to win. Wilson had knee surgery in August and returned to the huddle. He was rusty but he made several clutch throws in the fourth quarter. It was the first time in 27 years that the Jets led by 10 points, trailed by 10 and won the game.

Wilson was nearly flawless in the fourth, completing 10 of 12 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Robert said the young man doesn't flinch.

Wilson, who was drafted second overall, was tough in the last minutes. On the final drive, he was 5-for-5 for 57 yards. With 3:34 to play, the Jets took over on Michael Carter II's pick-me-up and went on to score with 16 seconds left.

During the game, Wilson didn't think about his knee. He was surrounded by a group of people. He was hit six times and pressured 14 times.

Wilson, who went 3-10) as a starter during his first year in the league, thought this was the most comfortable he'd ever felt before a game.

He caught a pass. In the second quarter, he scored on the Jets' version of the "Philly Special," a play in which he handed it to wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who threw a 2 yard pass to a wide open Wilson.

He was the first quarterback in Jets history to score a touchdown and catch a pass. Wilson danced in the end zone.

He said that he had the best hands on the team.

The Jets were in control with a 10 point lead, but Wilson threw two picks, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Tyler Conklin. Wilsons said there was frustration, but it was the correct one. The Jets were kept in the game by the defense's four picks. Wilson got two big things at the end.

He kept going." He doesn't turn it off. He just believes in himself. Wilson might not have played a perfect game, but it was his first game in a long time.

Wilson showed no ill effects from his knee surgery and was able to escape a few sacks. He credited the training staff for getting him ready for the game. Jets tackle Max Mitchell was carted off the field in the second quarter with a knee injury and was the fourth tackle to get injured since training camp.

Right guard Alijah Vera-Tucker started at left tackle. Two of the five Week 1 starters were in their original positions at the half. The Jets overcame a lot of challenges.

He played a good game for his return.

It wasn't easy for the Pittsburghers to find it hard to swallow. Fitzpatrick said it was very frustrating. Losing to people that you know you're better than is frustrating.
