  • Taylor Swift's voice was drowned out by Christian Bale's singing voice.

  • The costars were asked to "shut up" by the director, according to the actor.

  • He kept his work with Swift a secret from his family.

Christian Bale and John David Washington were told to stop singing on the set because their singing drowned out Taylor Swift.

The actor talked about working with Swift and Washington in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter's Brian Davids. The film's stars include Chris Rock, Robert De Niro, Chris Taylor-Joy, and Robert Downey, Jr.

Bale and Washington were supposed to sing a song with Swift but would forget the lyrics or sing the wrong notes. David O. Russell told them to stop speaking before they realized what they were saying was too much.

David asked if Christian and J.D. would let Taylor do it. He said that it felt like we had been drowned out by an angel's voice all day. It's really something when you have a person with a beautiful voice singing next to you.

Bale told The Hollywood Reporter that he kept his time with Swift a secret from his family until after the scene was filmed.

I asked my daughter if she knew who I was singing with today. There is a person named Taylor Swift. She was like, "Wait, what?" Why do you want to do that?

The actor seemed to have a lot of fun in the movie. He told Christian that he stopped talking to Rock because he was making him laugh too much.

The making of the film was a lot of work. Police officers stopped production after Russell refused to stop filming.

You need a permit to shoot. The time was up and we were in Pasadena. She said that they were meant to clear out.

The movie "Amsterdam" opens in theaters.
