Users will be able to boost their chat messages on the platform in the future. Users will be able to use a one-time fee to elevate their chats for a specific time. Fees range from $5 to $100 and are presented in five different tiers.
There is a limited number of channels that the feature can be used for. The option to elevate chats can be found at either the top of the chat or at the bottom of the video.
Multiple people can raise their chat message at the same time, but it is on a first-come, first-served basis, and is managed by streamers and moderators. The user can be banned after a chat message is up. Users won't be able to get refunds or elevate someone else's chat message if a comment is removed
The experiment will have a 70/30 split for creators. The test is expected to last about four weeks. In addition to the US, it will be available in Canada, Australia, Korea, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
