New information has been added to the post.

A year ago, American Express launched a record number of transfer bonuses from MembershipRewards to various airlines and hotels.

Another huge set of transfer bonuses was brought back by Amex. Today is the last day of many of these. Time is running out for you to transfer membership rewards points from your American Express card to book a trip.

Amex has transfer bonuses for hotels and airlines. The current transfer bonuses are between 15% and 30%.

Excellent redemption options for flights and hotel stays can be unlocked with the use of transfer bonuses. Transfer bonuses aren't the highest we've ever seen for many of these partners. We don't recommend speculatively transferring membership rewards to airlines or hotels.

If you want to transfer and book a high- value award, these transfer bonuses may be the catalyst you need. The majority of these will go away at midnight. The time is Mountain Time.

Let's look at some of the best ways to maximize American Express Membership rewards transfer bonuses.

If you sign up for the daily newsletter, you will get the latest points, miles and travel news.

United domestic award tickets can be booked with Avianca Lifemiles. During this 15% transfer bonus, LifeMiles can be transferred for 8,050 LifeMiles, which is one-way for an inter region flight. Some routes have cheaper awards than this one.

It costs more miles to fly longer. You pay LifeMiles to fly from Los Angeles to New York. This is a small amount of membership rewards points.
