A trip to Italy can cost a lot. The cost of a flight from the U.S. to Italy can be as high as $1,000. It makes visiting the country feel out of reach.

If you're interested in a trip to Italy, we recommend booking as soon as possible because the low prices are not expected to last. The prices are a significant discount from the normal price.

If you want to purchase your ticket directly from the airline's website, we recommend you use Google Flights. When you purchase tickets directly, airlines are more reliable.

Because of the third-party booking options, there are different prices shown by the search engine.

For $150 more, you can upgrade to Delta's "Main Cabin". You can check your first bag for free if you choose the Main Cabin option.

Maximize your purchase

If you use a card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, you can get up to $500,000 in bonus points per year. There is more on maximizing airfare purchases here.

The information for the card has been collected by a third party. The card issuer did not review or provide the card details on this page.

Bottom line

The deal is definitely worth it since airlines have slashed fares. If you want to plan your next trip to Italy, now is the best time. Maybe you can take a tour of the Colosseum or Tuscany.

The deals are for economy fares and some have multiple stops. Sitting in basic economy seats on a Delta flight from San Francisco to Milan is not a good idea for everyone.

It isn't often that you can fly to the major tourist destinations in Italy for such a low price, so act fast.
