The Super Base V is the most powerful portable battery. The company says it is the first home energy system with semi-solid state batteries. It can accept up to 3000W of solar input, can be charged at a level 2 EV station, and has powered wheels.

The current gold standard for safety and energy density is the semi-solid state batteries. According to Professor Hobo, Zendure's semi-solid state batteries are basically just a more energy dense version of regularlithium-ion but in a solid pouch format which apparently boasts greater damage resistance.

Here is how it is explained.

In Semi-Solid State Battery manufacturing, the chemical solvents used to make the internal compounds remain inside the battery during assembly. These solvents harden and become a solid electrolyte interphase that is more resilient and far less likely to suffer the kind of chain reaction that causes fires and burns in other lithium-ion options. Even when punctured by a metal spike in performance tests.

EcoFlow's largest battery, the 100lb Delta Pro I reviewed this summer, has a 3.6kWh LFP battery that can be expanded to 25kWh. The standard range Ford F-150 is 98kWh of usable energy.

The US version of the SuperBase V has both 120 and 220V sockets to power standard and high wattage devices. The AC output is 3,800W with a surge of 7,600W, which is enough for most household appliances. For 7,600W of output, you can connect two SuperBase V systems. There are 14 output ports, two of which are 100W and one of which is a 30A Andersen port to power your RV.

The Super Base V battery can be charged in as little as an hour by plugging into AC power and maxing out the solar input.

SuperBase V is being sold by a brand that wants to gauge market demand before they sell it. Even though it has a track record of delivering products that work, it still carries some risk.

The price of the SuperBase V is $3,999. If you don't want to test first generation semi-solid state battery technology, there's a 4.6kWh LFP version. After the campaign ends on November 18th, the Super Base V can be purchased on the website.

The field of crowd funding is chaotic. One in 10 successful products that reach their funding goals fail to deliver rewards, according to a study done by Kickstarter. There is often disappointment in store for those products that do get done because of delays, missed deadlines, and overpromised ideas.

Use your best judgement when defending. Do you know if the product looks legit? The company is making claims. There is a prototype that is being worked on. Is the company planning on manufacturing and shipping finished products? Is this the first time it has completed a crowd funding campaign? You don't necessarily buy a product when you back a project on a site.
