The Georgian was appointed in January and he led the team to safety and a 19th place finish in the Championship.
They have only three wins from 10 games and are currently 20th in the table.
AndyDawson was named interim head coach just hours before the game.
The club's assistant head coach has left immediately.

Grant McCann was sacked after the club's takeover by a Turkey-based group.
He first met Ilicali in the Netherlands, where he worked as a coach.

He began his coaching career with AZ Alkmaar, where he worked as an assistant to Louis van Gaal, Ronald Koeman and Dick Advocaat.
After working at Kasimpasa, he was promoted to the position of general manager, where he won back-to-back league and cup doubles with the team.
