The Eufy cam 3 has a built-in solar panel that can extend the battery life even further. The HomeBase 3 hub allows the camera to connect to the internet. This adds local processing of video to send you an alert when it spots a person, pet, or vehicle, and it can tell you if it's a stranger or a family member.

The storage can be upgraded to as much as 16 terabytes of storage with a hard drive slot. This is enough for 60 years of motion-activated video footage, and it adds the ability to record continuous video for the first time.

The HomeBase 3 and two EufyCAM 3s are part of the Edge security system. There are three and four camera kits available for purchase. Almost all of Eufy's existing smart cameras, video doorbells, and sensors will work with the new HomeBase 3.

If you buy a EufyCam 2, you can swap it for a HomeBase 3, which will give you the ability to recognize faces, spot your pets or animals, and distinguish between vehicles and other motion events.

The EufyCAM 3 is the first 4K resolution camera from Eufy and has a built-in spotlight.

You can see recorded and live footage with the Eufy app. Two-way audio allows you to talk to visitors or use the built-in sirens to scare off invaders. There is no Apple Home compatibility at launch. The Eufy HomeBase 2 is compatible with Apple Home.

These Eufy products will work with HomeBase 3 and its AI detection

Video doorbell, Eufy motion sensor, contact sensor, and Eufy smart lock are included in the Eufy cam.

Compatibility will come this year.

Frank Zhu, Eufy security general manager said, "most current home security systems are digital video recorders triggered by motion, creating a constant stream of false alert and massive amount of wasted video data." Our commitment to customer privacy and value is intact as a result of our new Edge security system. Our customers don't pay subscription fees to store or access their data.

Eufy doesn't require you to record or view footage. All video is stored locally on 16 gigabytes of built-in 256-bit local storage, which can be expanded up to 16 terabytes. Keeping your footage local is one of the things the HomeBase does. The company says it will learn and improve over time with the use of a self- learning artificial intelligence.

A lot of people will be interested in the option to upgrade to as much as 16 terabytes of storage with a hard drive slot, not having to rely on cloud storage, and continuous video recording. Most smart home cameras use motion-triggered recording, but there aren't many other options. It is offered on some of the cameras of the company, as well as facial recognition. If you want to view recorded footage, you need to pay for iCloud storage, but Eufy doesn't charge a monthly subscription fee.

The Edge Security System will be available in the UK, Germany, and Australia on September 30th.
