A top Apple executive with a reputation for helping the company cut costs has left Apple after 22 years, according to multiple news outlets.
The vice president of procurement for Apple appeared in a TikTok video by Daniel Mac, who asked the owners of expensive cars what they do for a living.
He told Mac that he has rich cars, play golf and fondle big-breasted women, but he takes weekends and holidays off.
The line seems to be a reference to the 1981 film Arthur, in which an eccentric heir to a million dollar fortune says, "I race cars, I play tennis, I fondle women, but I have weekends off, and I am my own boss."
He apologized to anyone offended by his mistaken attempt of humor.
Forbes did not get a response from Apple, but they did confirm that Blevins no longer works for the company.
The job of Blevins was to negotiate low prices with Apple's suppliers. He was described as one of Apple's most important executives, who was responsible for saving the company hundreds of millions of dollars through his shrewd and sometimes sharp-elbowed tactics. A key component of the business is the smooth supply chains. The company removed him as leader of several hundred employees and six direct reports after employees reported the video to the human resources department, according to unnamed sources. Other executives at the company claim to support improving diversity and women's empowerment.
