  • The congressman said Republicans have to investigate Hunter Biden's life.

  • He is believed to have compromised Joe Biden, though no evidence has been presented to back him up.

  • The power to investigate deeper would be given to the oversight chair if the GOP regained the House.

It's not something Republicans want to do if they regain control of the House after the elections.

The Kentucky Republican said that they were investigating Hunter Biden because they believed he had compromised Biden.

If Republicans flip enough seats this fall, he will become chairman of the House oversight panel, and he billed his probe into the business and personal dealings of President Joe Biden's scandal-plagued youngest son as patriotism.

"We've already brought forth more evidence of wrongdoing with Hunter Biden in foreign countries than Adam Schiff ever brought forward with Donald Trump or anyone else," Comer said when asked if avenging the disgraced former president played any part in continuing to dig for dirt on the younger Biden.

There is no evidence that Hunter Biden's work influenced policy decisions made during his father's three times in the White House.

The entire Biden family is corrupt, that's what House Republicans are saying.

Last fall, Comer mapped out plans to run Hunter Biden through the wringer, calling him a national security risk.

Biden aides began preparing for an investigatory backlash this spring, anticipating that givenl-wielding House Republicans would likely come after the president, Hunter Biden, and key administration officials.

Kevin McCarthy doesn't seem to like plowing into impeachment proceedings if he becomes speaker.

McCarthy told reporters that they wouldn't play politics with the issue.
