Hurricane Ian left a trail of destruction as it moved up the Atlantic coast.

Ian dropped anywhere from 6 inches to 20 inches of rain across central Florida, with peak wind gusts of 140 mph recorded in Cape Coral.

The death toll is unknown as search and rescue efforts continue.

According to Power Outage.us, there were more than 2 million people without power in the state.

Peter Robbins, a spokesman for Florida Power and Light, told CNN that it will take more time to restore customers in areas like Naples. We will not stop until every last person is on.
