Why did you apply to the internet search engine?
I prepared myself because I knew something would happen here. I tried different roles but didn't succeed. I felt like I had a chance when I was hired on the partner marketing team. I had worked with partners in the region before, and I knew a lot about this field.
What was it like to apply for a job?
There's a funny story about my application. I tried to highlight my skills in the job description. I attached an older version of my resume that wasn't applicable to this role.
After a few days, I received an email similar to others I had gotten in the past, saying, "Thank you for applying, but..." I got another email later that day. They felt something was off with my application, according to the person who sent it. I was told to complete a few questions and send my resume. I was given a second chance by the people. I used to be a fan of second chances, but now I think they are a good idea.
What preparation did you make for your interview?
Each interview round I created a script for. I prepared examples of my successes, failures and projects and thought about different scenarios. It helped me a lot because most of the interviews were in English. It allowed me to structure my thoughts.
