NBA Trade Rumors: Bucks 'Showed a Lot of Interest in' Jazz's Jordan Clarkson

According to a report, the Milwaukee Bucks tried to trade for Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson but were unable to do so.

Tony Jones of The Athletic said thatMilwaukee showed a lot of interest in him. The Jazz wouldn't trade George Hill in a potential deal. They didn't think that was a good idea. I don't believe there's been a serious suitor for Jordan.

Several Jazz players could be traded for the right price as the team rebuilds. Utah traded Rudy Gobert and other players earlier in the year.

He will make $13.3 million this season and has a player option of $14.3 million for the next two years. He was one of the league's premier bench scorers last season with an average of 16.0 points, 3.5 rebound and 2.5 assists.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been aggressive on the trade market. The Milwaukee Brewers inquired about Jerami Grant before he was traded to the Portland Trail blazers, and they are expected to be in the running for disgruntled Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder.

It seems odd that taking back George Hill's contract was not an option in the talks. In NBA salary circles, Hill is a pittance. If there were draft picks involved in Milwaukee's offer, that would be a small cost of business.

The Suns could use Hill as part of their rotation, so Milwaukee may be able to find a trade fit in Crowder.
