• Cuisinart PerfecTemp Cordless Electric Kettle

Jeffrey Van Camp has been using the PerfecTemp for at least two years and he has been happy with it. It's great for tea lovers because it has preset buttons for green tea, white tea, oolong tea, and black tea, as well as a "delicate" button for light and spring teas that can be boiled to 160 degrees. If your kitchen doesn't have the best lighting, you can see how much water you're putting in with a backlit water window. You can clean and remove the mesh filter near the spout.

There is no easy way to stop the alarm from going off when the water is boiling. It runs a bit too long and is too loud. The kettle needs to be taken apart, which isn't endorsed by the manufacturer.

It has a boiling point of 1.7 liters.

  • If you're looking for a kettle that looks good, look no further than Smeg. It is available in a variety of colors. It adds a bright pop of color to my kitchen and makes it look better. It's on the heavier side for an electric kettle. It makes up for this weight by boiling very quickly, so much so that I often just waited for it to finish boiling, so you can safely leave it unattended as well.

It does not come with all the bells and whistles as other electric kettles. There is no connected app or dial for precise temperature settings, and there is no sound to let you know it is boiling. I didn't miss those features when I drank tea. The electric kettle is cute and reliable. Preset temperature settings and a keep warm function are included in the price of the appliance, but we haven't tested it yet.

It has a boiling point of 1.7 liters.

  • Not every model of kettle deserves a top spot. Some of them work well but don't stand out.

There was one red flag when I unboxed Art and Cook's electric glass kettle, it was the box and instruction manual that were missing something. My experience over the past six months has been perfect, even though I was hesitant to test it. The Cosori doesn't have a light that indicates when it's boiling but it does hold more water than 1.7 liters. It has an automatic shutoff feature, but I didn't like it as much as I would have liked.

There's a digital temperature display (with five preset temperatures you can cycle through), a "Keep Warm" button, and color-changing LED lights, making this quite the feature-filled kettle for the price. I don't think it's easy to memorize which temperature corresponds to which color, but you might be able to pick it up quicker. It's sold out all over the place.
