Four years ago, Taika Waititi was announced as the director for the Apple+ TV adaptation of Terry Gilliam's 1981 out-of-this-world sci-fi comedy Time Bandits, and now almost the entire cast has been revealed.
Along with Rachel House, the incredibly talented comedic actress that has been in many of Waititi's productions, the others will also be starring. Waititi will co-author the pilot of Time Bandits. The series is described as a comical journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11 year old history nerd.
Monty Python and Time Bandits was written by one of the group's founding members, Terry Gilliam. While I have no idea what heists Waititi is going to use within the series, the premise is expansive enough to last well past the 10 episodes on the docket for Apple+.
